Fixed Windows
Fix windows or picture windows are panes of glass mounted directly in the windows frame which are installed directly into a wall. They cannot be opened and closed, and can be ordered in a variety of sizes, shapes and glass types.
Advantages
- There are the most weathertight Windows available.
- Because they can't be opened they don't require screens or hardware.
- They're less expensive than other Windows.
Disadvantages
- They can provide no ventilation.
- They're impossible to exit from in case of an emergency.
- They must be cleaned from the outside.
